A few short years ago I was drifting from one dead-end job to dead-end job to another. With no experience, no relevant qualifications, and no direction - I wasn't exactly what you would call 'a great prospect'. Then I 'fell' into a sales role almost by accident (it was only later that I realised there is no such thing!). Thinking I'd finally made it into a dream job that would be my 'ticket' to a better life, put money in my bank and give me the security I'd always wanted; I was thrust out into a massively competitive world with, only a 'bit' of training under my belt - in at the deep end! A few weeks down the line and 'target pressure' kicked in - my boss knew I was on an almost vertical learning curve, but the company had targets to hit and so the pressure was on - but I was only just managing to tread water!
